Title says it all, almost. I have a powerbook 190cs that seems to power up (with a disk tools disk). The screen lights up with back light, but that's all. And this one has been through the REA program. Actually, this belongs to a friend, and it's the second identical PB with the same identical problem. Any ideas? Could it be something she's doing? I'll have to ask her if she stores it next to an industrial magnet or something! (joke)
If It is a solid blue colour it sounds like something I've seen many times on 190/5300 - a damaged screen cable.
if there is a cursor on the screen it might be something else, even if the screencable is very likely, a bad battery or a scsi or so conflict. If there is no bong you can also suspect the processor,
