I've heard there are some hacks available to make it work on a desktop, but I've never even heard of anyone hacking one for a PB. The OS contains only the enabler used by an iMac (#462) and would probably be missing some other PB specific components as well. The price of OEM full install 8.5 or 8.6 disks on the list and eBay is very low. The 8.6 upgrade is a free download from Apple, so 8.5 is all that is needed.
