Ha. I'm surprised at just how well the 117 does, overall.

MacResq has 166's for sale for $50 (!!!):
http://www.macresq.com/store/detail.php?prodID=661-1380

For $180, though, you can get a "real" processor (250 MHz G3 with 1 meg of cache) at
Technowarehouse (never purchased from there myself):
http://www.technowarehousellc.com/technowarehouse/g325netepo14.html

*OR* you could always get on eBay quickly and hope the G3 466 MHz that's there now
doesn't go much higher than it already has ($185.55 right now) and max your machine
out.

A better idea is probably to try tracking down everyone on eBay who *wins* a G3
upgrade! If they aren't replacing a 117 themselves, you might be able to get
something awfully cheap. Hrm. Not such a bad idea. Forget I said that. I want
first dibs! (jk)

Really, though, spending much over $15-$20 for a 603e seems a bit much to me. Seems
like that's money better spent going to the G3 and running OS 9, iTunes, and friends.
(Though lem does say, "Add[ing] in the L2 cache on the 133 MHz model made it about
25-30% faster overall [than the 117].")
