I cannot get the 3400c's internal modem/ethernet port to work as a modem.

AHHH!

I just got it, its a 3400c/240 with MacOS 8.6 installed.  I selected 3400/G3
as the modem in the modem control panel, and I selected "Internal Modem" as
the location of the modem.

I really would rather use the internal modem than a PCMCIA modem.  I do have
them but I like the simplest solutions.  PCMCIA cards annoy me.  Just more
clutter.
