I purchased a powerbook today w/o a HD. I hooked up a external SCSI drive to it (Quantum 1.1GB) to test it out ...
.. and I was AMAZED at how FAST the powerbook (230) ran w/ the 3.5" external HD running it! Are 3.5" SCSI drives that much faster than the standard 2.5" SCSIs that came in SCSI powerbooks?
Yes. Those old SCSI HDD's were quite slow
