It's just a basic PCMCIA adapter, one for CF is about $14, one for
Smartmedia are about $25-40 depending.

See <http://www.cdwg.com/shop/products/default.asp?EDC=101754>

and/or <http://www.cdwg.com/shop/products/default.asp?EDC=484508>
depending on the media you want to use. I think I got my Smartmedia
one for $29 from outpost.com, I got the CF one off the shelf- Sears
electronics area, Circuit City, places like that should have one or
both types on shelf.

The only drivers you need are a working File Exchange/Pc Exchange that
lets you read PC format disks. Or you can reformat them as macOS
volumes and make them bootable rescue disks (your camera will only be
able to write to them if they are PC Format though- in fact just in
case of low level issues, I only format the cards in the camera, not
as "PC Format" on the Mac). LowEndMAc has an article about making
bootable CF disks for use on your powerbook.

HTH.
