Hello everyone. I need some help with a Supra PC Card Modem. I have one I use in my PowerBook 1400 and I suspect it is 56k Flex only. The Diamond Multimedia site no longer has any support information or files. I am wondering if any one has one of these and can tell me if it can be flashed to v90? If so does anyone have the program to flash the roms in the card to v90. Below is listed the results when I sent the modem the various ati 1-4 comands. I am able to connect to my ISP and use the fax feature (Thanks to Value Fax shareware). My ISP no longer supports 56k flex, so a v90 upgrade would be best.
I though about purchasing a new v90 or v92 PC Card Modem, but most of the ones at local store are Winmodems (software only) and not true modems. I know Zoom makes some PC card modems with Mac software bundled in the package for v90 and v92 but they are not available local. Am I just wasting my time trying to upgrade the flash rom (if so equiped) in this Supra modem? Should I just buy a new modem? All help will be appreciated.
