IIRC, the PB3400 battery will power up the 5300 quite well. However, I am certain that the 5300 will not *charge* the battery. The 5300 was the first to try to ship with a Lion, and suffered the infamous flaming battery problem while with some developers. Apple kludged the 5300 at the last minute to use NiMH batteries, disabling the Lion charging ability in the process. --Tom -- Prof. Thomas H.
