Just bought a 6gig HD for a 5300 anysite that walks me thruogh the install new to powerbooks.
Well, if you've _never_ opened up a laptop before, you might consider having someone help you out of look over your shoulder while you do it...
But if you're comfortable mucking around with electronics, you can check out my 5300 FAQ for info on installing a hard drive in the 5300. It gives a quick run-down of how to remove/install hard drives. The directions are more-or-less right out of the service manual, but there aren't any pictures.
The section you want is this one: <http://www.alksoft.com/5300_FAQ/FAQ_2.3.php#237>
Peace, Drew
