"Yes, we made the mistake of not putting a new heat sink in when we upgraded
the first time-cooked it!"

"Where would I find, or how do I get, one of these heatsinks?"

Not being at all computer literate we only noticed accidentally that there
are two types of heat sink commonly found in PB500 series machines one is a
thinnish plate without a "lump" sticking above the surface, the other has a
much thicker section over the processor and a pronounced " lump" on the top
surface. Perhaps somebody else on the list knows more about this than we
do???
We just happened to acquire another scrap PB 5XX and saw the difference as
we were cannibalising it - too late to save the NuPowr card which seems to
have cooked - anyone want one of these cooked cards???

Hope this helps

Gerald
