This is nothing new, but here it goes. My PB180 hard drive died a few years back, but last month or so I got one of those ATDX SCSI to IDE adapters, and a 815Mb IDE drive. So, a few cringes after, I was able to stick both the devices in the old Apple drive space(it's not that hard, by the way - I only had to twist one hinge of the metal casing near a screw, and it fit like a charm).
So, I turn my powerbook on, and I hear the IDE disc boot-up to my joy. Yet, no drive on tracker. Very well, So I stick Disc Tools in it... and nothing. The Patched HD Format, nothing at all. And SCSI Probe says that the bus is not terminated, and shows equally no hard drive. I'm pretty sure that I set the dip switches to termination - anyone had simmilar problems? Or is the card plain dead? -- PowerBooks is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
