I beg to differ on this point of the Orinoco Silver card not being 32 bit. I
have a Silver card which is 32 bit. It is a Proxim Silver
Orinoco 802.11a/b Combo Card. Be sure not to buy a combo type card, even
though it may say Orinoco Silver, as it will not work in a 5300 (190). If I
bought only an 802.11b Silver Orinoco card, I think that it would have worked
fine as Dan K said. Be careful when purchasing a card from eBay or any seller
since sellers do not usually put 16 or 32 bit in their ads.

There is no 32-bit Orinoco Silver, AFAIK they're all 16 bit. In any case,
if the card can physically be fully inserted into a 5300 it can't be
carbus anyhow, the 16 bit cage won't allow an unmodified cardbus card
  entry.
