Hello, everyone!

I am having a strange problem with my trusty 1400c, G3 250 MHz, 64 Mb, RAMDoubled to 128 Mb, Spanish MacOS 9.1.
3 days ago, I noticed that the screen had a bit of dust, fingerprints, smudges, etc., so I decided to cleaning it with something called "Memorex PC Quick Wipes". I was looking for something called "Kleen Screen" that I used a few years ago, but didn't find it so I bought this Memorex product. It clearly states "Safely clean everything for your PC", and "For use on: Computer Monitors, Computer Screens, KBs, Mice, DVDs, CDs".
Well, after gently cleaning it with two of the wipes, everything was great, the screen was crystal clear, I was happy. After using the 1400 for 2 hours or so, I turned it off for the day.
Next day, when I turned it on, I noticed a faint, 9 characters wide, magenta tint from top to bottom almost in the center of the screen. This was visible only when the screen was gray, and disappeared when my preferences for the Finder kicked on.
But i noticed that when I write something, when the letters are on that area, they look kind of reddish, instead of black. Photos are not affected, the menu bar is not affected, the windows title bar or edges are not affected, only text.
Now this faint top-to-bottom bar is getting a stronger hue and is faint no more. And a new top-to-bottom 7 characters wide faint magenta bar is forming at the left side of this bar. This is only noticeable on the gray startup screen.

The ONLY thing i did was cleaning the screen with the Memorex product mentioned before, and I don't know if this is the cause or just a coincidence.
And even if the reddish hue on some letters do not bother me yet, I'm worried that the screen is going to fail in a short while.
Can this be just a pinched wire somewhere, even if I was very careful when I wiped the screen?
Best regards.
Hugo Diaz
