Hi,

In my recently obtained Powerbook 540c with the 167mhz NuPowr processor upgrade, I see
that it has a control panel called "NUPowr Cache" that (supposedly?) allows some sort
of 128k L2 cache...

My questions are:

(1) I assume this cache is not really ne, but instead is memory used from the RAM or
the HD for the same purpose?

(2) How does this perform in comparison to the REAL L2 cache (which I know was only
available on the 183mhz Nupowr upgrade for the Powerbook 540)?

(3) Would there be any benefit to using this with any other L2-less Powerbook, such as
my 68k 280c, my PPC 2300c or my 5300c/117?

Thanks...

Craig W.
