I was lucky enough to pick up an Apple Presentation
System L TV Portable Pro today, and it seems simple
enough to set up except -- there is a cable with one
end labeled "apple" and one end labeled "vga". One end
is supposed to go into the video out on the computer
and one end goes to the L TV pro box. Now here's my
quandary, "if the computer monitor you will be using
is an RBG monitor, plug the end marked "apple" into
the video port on the back of your computer, if the
monitor is Apple Basic Color or some other VGA
compatible monitor, plug the end marked "vga" into the
back of the video port on the back of your Macintosh.

So which end goes into the back of the pb? The
"apple" end?

I've never actually plugged an external monitor in to
any of my powerbooks, because I always thought that
using the video out would disable the lcd display. I'd
rather not have that happen, I'd rather have mirroring
so I can control the presentation from my pb. I have
access to a 3400, a 5300 and a 2400 that could be
called into service for this task.

Has anyone on the list used one of these? I actually
wanted one of those clear devices that is used with an
overhead, but this is what I found instead.
