We got a QT500 expressly for using with our PB540C as the ssystem works really well.Using the 540C as an editing platform is great Other cards dont work. As you say they have to be 5v. There is a UK supplier selloing new 4mb.cards but at �32.plus postage or thereabouts its a lot ( around $50!) Fuki also made the SAME (spelt identical) camera and called it a Fuju DS7 - Yep it uses the same cards.We picked up a complete DS7 at auction for $20 including a 4mb card, carry case etc etc. The DS7 wont plug directly into a Mac -its PC oriented but the smartcard's easily transferable.
