However (IIRC) only a 5300 logic board with 1MB vram can use a TFT
display. Hmmm, _do_ I recall that correctly? Anyone, anyone . . . ?

I believe there are two color 5300 logic boards ... one supports a TFT with
640x480 (5300c), or less, while the other supports 800x600 (5300ce).

There are VRAM chips on both sides of the logic board, and the 5300ce has all
locations stuffed.

As a matter of fact, there are places on the logic board for four small RAM
chips and one large RAM chip on the bottom and also on top, and the various
models of machines have different combinations of small and large chips, with the
5300ce having all possible locations stuffed.

The ROM chips remain the same across all models.
