another thing I have noticed when using my souped-up 540c wirelessly. The 540c comes with an AAUI ethernet port which, with a transciever to RJ45 works just fine however I've noticed slow transfer speeds from/to network volume only about couple of dozens of KB/s or so. First I thought that that's all my PB can handle in area network. But with a WiFi card I get at least 250 KB/s so I know that the computer handle faster transfers, even with the base station about 40 feet and two thick concrete walls in between. So I thought that it might be the transciever slowing things down. But - recently I hooked up an old 7100 which also has an AAUI port and the connection was very fast also in the hundreds of KB/s range. The only thing left is to presume that the AAUI port on the PB is so slow with it. So what's the deal with the BlackBird's AAUI port? I thought it was in 10 baseT speed range?
Regards, Boris
