It's real short range. I sure wouldn't go comparing it to the wireless products of today.
The range couldn't be more than about 9 feet.
The primary advantage as I see them are that:
I can use my PowerBook 5300 on my drawing table without having to wrestle with a wire for the connection.
Simple use.
Works with my old, outdated system software.
