Last week I got a 3400c tyhat came with a power adapter that plugs into the cigarette lighter of a 12-volt vehicle. Tonight I had a friends over who recently bought his wife one of those BRAND NEW refurbished 5300 PowerBooks that Wegener Media is selling on the internet with 8 megs of RAM for 55 or 59 dollars each. I showed my buddy what all I got with the 3400 and he recognised the automtive PowerBook adapter and said that the one that came with his 5300 was identical. That is so strange: you can buy a 110-Volt PowerBook AC adapter and a 12-Volt automotive adapter and a floppy drive module and a new NiMh battery for about 50 dollars each on the internet or you can but a 5300 PowerBook from Wegwener refurbished by Apple for 59 dollars and all that stuff is included !!! I saw his wife's 5300 and it was shipped in an Apple PowerBook box and looks like it has never been touched by human hands. Unfortunately the RAM is so expensive for these 5300 models.
