I, also, am having problems with my Calluna MoveIT 260MB Type II ATA PC Card PCMCIA Miniature Hard Disk Drive.
I have installed 8.5 on it and wiped my internal hard disk. It has worked OK for very short time. I'm now getting the bomb thing with bus error each time I start/restart with extensions off. This is with only the adapter plugged in. Consequently, I can't use my external cd to reinstall, etc. Interested to hear that the card needs a driver as I just initialised it as instructed by the vendor. I'm not that good with 'Macs' but would like to know how you 'rewrite a Mac OS disk driver to the CF card by using Drive Set Up'. Initially, I had my external Apple cd attached and swopped my long standing old Syquest drive for an Omega Zip Drive. I assumed that this was where the fault lay and messed about for a long time trying to sort it out to no avail.
