Start drive setup. In the menu somwhere is an option for re-installing the disk driver. Don't have a classic booted system handy so I can't tell you exactly where.

Start Drive Setup with the CF card inserted. Select the CF card in the list of drives. Select "Update Driver" from the "Functions" menu.

There are other circumstances where you might want to do this occasionally. If you use your disk with multiple versions of the Mac OS, then the driver can get messed up - updating it occasionally might help. When you install Mac OS, the disk driver is automatically written... There are noted problems with OS 8.5's disk drivers, so if you have OS 8.5 on your disk, you might want to write drivers from a newer version of Drive Setup (like from 8.6 or 9.x).
