Hi,
When quickly trying to change the hard drive in my powerbook 5300, I started with the battery in. I already had the keyboard out when the powerbook started up. I pulled out the battery so it stopped running and continued to change over the hard drive.
When I finished and plugged the 5300 in and started it, there was a flash from the area of the screen. However, it started up and ran ok. However, now it seems to not recognise the AC adapter and is running on battery. Also, the screen does not dim properly, just larger increments of brightness and darkness. Have I blown a fuse, wrecked the machine, or should I try something like re-setting the Power Manager?
Thanks
