I've got it on my pb 3400. Works great. I used 0s9Helper.

Check www.os9forever.com and see if it is supported by OS9 Helper. This program is wonderful and allows you to install on unsupported machines. As far as Norton is concerned, I have had better luck with a goat skull with candles burning in the eyeball sockets. You can make a 9.1 installer CD with Disk Copy set to Read/write and put in Techtool and it's preferences. Burn a CD of that and you can use it on your 3400c.

Greetings. I am currently running Mac OS 9.1 on my PowerBook 3400c. I have a copy of the 9.2.1 update, but have heard that this should not be installed on a 3400. Is this true? 9.1 is working fine, but the diagnostic software CDs I have (Norton SystemWorks 2 and TechTool Deluxe) boot with 9.2, and so are currently unusable. I would kind of like to use these CDs occasionally on the 3400. Is there a work-around? Thanks.
