Hi,
I have a PB1400 running 9.1. In the chooser I set it up to launch idisk everytime I turned on the computer, well it's driving me crazy. I already trashed the pref file, is there a simple way to stop idisk from running at the start up.

Yep.

If you're connected to the iDisk, unmount it by dragging it to the trash.

Open the Chooser, click on AppleShare, then "Server IP Address..." and type in "idisk.mac.com". Type in your account info. When it asks you what what items you want to use, uncheck the checkbox next to your iDisk's name. Checking it will tell AppleShare to connect at startup, unchecking it will turn that off.

Also, check your startup items folder to make sure you don't have an alias to the iDisk in there...

Finally, Apple is disabling the AppleShare connection to iDisk sometime this month, so this is probably moot in a few days. After that, you'll need a WebDAV client like Goliath to access the iDisk. Unfortunately, Goliath is the only OS 9 client I've seen, and I'm no fan. I hate it... Maybe one of these days I'll roll my own...

Peace,
Drew
