Is there a difference in the two slots in the 5300? I know with some cards on other 'Books, you have to use them in the bottom slot (CapSure, DVD). I have a Proxim Harmony PCMCIA card that won't go into the bottom slot on a 5300. When I put it in the top slot I get an error message saying I don't have the proper software to use it in the top slot. The card works with the IOxperts driver on a Lombard in 9.1, but we couldn't get it to work in 8.6 on the 5300. So I took my test 750MB HD out of the Lombard and put it into the 5300, but I still get the same error. And it never goes all the way into the bottom slot, it seems to hang up about an eighth of an inch short.

Somewhat related question: While I had the mobo out to try to do some soldering, I noticed that the floppy connector is the same as the PC cage for the 500 series.....could I possibly use the 500 cage on the 5300 and get four cards going at the same time? Or put the floppy into the left bay on the 540c and run with two floppies?
