I just got a Powerbook G3 Bronze Keyboard (Lombard). I was only able to
get online using the built-in 56K modem once so far. Then it only stayed
logged on for about 5 mins. I'm not able to connect due to "Modem error
occurred" messages in 10.2. Sometimes it tells me there's no dial tone,
then i try to connect again and it dials fine but it still can't
connect.

I haven't tried OS 9 yet, but I did load Yellow Dog Linux 3.0 and it
can't even detect a modem.

Any ideas? Is my modem dead?

Tom
