Both of the above combinations give me a red "iron cross" - like figure,
that is selectable like the first; I hear the 'click', see the color
inversion,
then can't find the snapshots anywhere! Wuz happenin'? Using 8.6.

I don't know why they both give you the same pointer - one should be a cross hair, the other should be a bulls-eye. Odd... There shouldn't be any OS dependence, either.


You can find the screencaps at the top level of your startup disk. So if your startup disk is named "Macintosh HD," you'll find your pictures by opening Macintosh HD and looking for something named "Picture 1." The pictures are numbered sequentially. They are SimpleText PICT files.

Here's another little tid-bit. Holding down "control" while pressing any of the screen capture key combos places the capture on the clipboard as a paste-able picture...
