Problem is, I've now moved to a new plan (still Sprint) and I'm getting a new phone. All indications are the Web Connection Card Kit I made use of for the Samsung is not available for the new Sanyo, and all I see now on Sprint's site is a series of "Connection Cards" that appear to be nothing more than wireless modems rather than connections to use the phone AS a modem. (And, of course, none of the specs for these "Air Cards" list Mac compatibility.)
Have any of you had any experience with this "new wave" of Sprint connectivity, and/or do you have any suggestions for me? I'm anxious to make use of the added functionality in the new phone, but I hate to give up a great (if dead slow) connection to my 1400 which I now use on a regular basis. I suppose one of the Wi-Fi cards is an option, but I think I almost prefer a "direct" wireless connection instead of being at the "mercy" of hotspots. Or am I just stuck in the stone age?
In any event, my main interest is being able to access my mail and, to a lesser extent, the Web via my PB1400...in the car or elsewhere where a network or phone jack connection aren't available. Just like I can now with the 1400 hooked up to my cell phone. (Nice and complex as the new phones are, they just aren't practical for sending/receiving long, detailed e-mails with clients.) As before, anything any of you could do to help would be MOST appreciated!
