Do people enter the "0x" string before each key number with the 7.2 drivers ? I should note that the netgear wireless router generates the hex keys but doesnt display the "0x" part.
Mad Dog,
I'm pretty sure you need to enter the "0x" before the key. Otherwise, the driver thinks its pure ASCII text instead of a hex string. That's a fault on the OEM's part - the software or documentation should tell you that you need the 0x...
FWIW, you could run AirPort on that 2400c of yours... ;-)
In AirPort, the leading "0x" is also required.
Peace, Drew
I will go ahead and install the 7.2 drivers then which are much more friendly. This problem really had me scratching my head.
Airport wouldnt install on my 2400. Unfortunately, I couldnt install Classic Stumbler either without airport. Does CS look for different wireless networks ?
Also, does anyone know if my silver card can be flashed to "gold" ?
thanks,
Mad Dog
