Two things: First, you need to enable 32-bit addressing in the memory control panel. Then your OS will be able to recognize more than 8MB, allowing virtual memory to do more. Currently, your VM isn't contributing more than 4MB worth of virtual goodness because you are still in 24-bit mode. I have a PB150 with only 4MB, but with 16MB of VM, Expander runs just fine (but slowwwwwwwly). Next, why not buy a 4MB ram stick instead? It would likely be cheaper than a 6MB. I don't know for sure that you would have trouble with a 6MB stick on a 145b, but you don't want to find out the hard/expensive way whether the onboard ram has some conflict with part of the added ram. [That said, I don't believe that there is a problem; 2MB of that 6MB will not be enabled, so your total will end up being 8MB. That's my best guess, anyway.] --Cheers, Tom -- Prof. Thomas H.
