Sorry, guess I gave out the "hot" tip. I've run Limewire in OS 9 on an iBook500, but
haven't tried under 7.6.1. I recently downloaded MRK 2.0 for my 520 with 7.6.1, and
will give that shot before too long if I have the memory and hd space. In theory
there shouldn't be a big deal on either, but there were a few bug fixes between MRJ
2.2.5 and 2.2.6 (so I'm really not holding out hope for 2.0).

Ha. Yeah, it's a little slower than you might like. Fraid Java comes with some
overhead that Moore's Law hadn't quite gotten rid of before the G3, give or take.

Unf. the OP said OS 7.6.1 was a requirement.

Hey, macdaniel3400, what was the error when you fired up Limewire? What kind of
hardware are you running (let me venture to guess a 3400 from your email; though I
guess that'd run OS 8+ fairly easily)?
