Sorry, guess I gave out the "hot" tip. I've run Limewire in OS 9 on an iBook500, but haven't tried under 7.6.1. I recently downloaded MRK 2.0 for my 520 with 7.6.1, and will give that shot before too long if I have the memory and hd space. In theory there shouldn't be a big deal on either, but there were a few bug fixes between MRJ 2.2.5 and 2.2.6 (so I'm really not holding out hope for 2.0). > It is however, the most horrible piece of slooooow bloated code that > has ever pretended to be a program. Ha. Yeah, it's a little slower than you might like. Fraid Java comes with some overhead that Moore's Law hadn't quite gotten rid of before the G3, give or take. > I would recommend iSwipe, from Hillman Minx Software (donationware), > which is the only good P2P client I have found for older macs (e.g. > not OSX-based). What kind of hardware are you running (let me venture to guess a 3400 from your email; though I guess that'd run OS 8+ fairly easily)?
