Hi all, I have a PowerBook 3400c/240 that has difficulties waking up from sleep. Usually I will let it charge up with a known-good battery at home over the night and take it to class with me.
Two things happen - EITHER: 1.) I will get to class and notice that the Power LED is no longer blinking indicating that the laptop isn't on anymore. It will not start up from the battery at this point. 2.) The LED will continue to blink but when I press a key to wake it up, the HD spins up and everything seems like it is working but there is no video. When I shut it down, it does not start again. When I plug it back into the power adapter it boots perfectly (sometimes without pressing the power key). I can remove the power cable while it is running and it switches over to the battery and will continue to run from battery power for hours. What is wrong? Thanks a lot!
