I have another of those super rare PowerLogix 183 MHz upgrade cards in my old PB 540c AND a Rev. c Card Cage and I'm about to embark on the whole upgrade process to make it all it can be.
Let me know how the Wave Lan card installation goes. I vaguely remember seeing on the Orinco page that the older driver, version 6 or 7.1 I think, is available from them and will work just fine with OS 8.1 which the 540/520 runs fine. If you like, I can also tell you all about how to make 8.6 and even 9.1 run OK on that old PB 500 series. Mine runs 9.1 but it's such a memory hog I may bust it back to 8.6 since I can only get 32 Meg. for that poor old PB.
