Hello,

I have a powerbook 1400 that I left on the shelf too long and its
gone into a coma. I've tried pressing the reset button for up to 5
minutes with every
combination of battery in, battery out, power supply connected and
disconnected; nothing seems to work. It just sits there with the
green light on, mocking me.

I'm pretty sure the pram battery has some juice left - but I'm
willing to try replacing it if it has to be done.

Is there any hope for this machine?

Specs: Newertech G3 250, 64Mb ram, Global Village ethernet/modem
pcmcia, pcmcia compact flash adapter with 128Mb flash card (virtual
memory).

PRAM fully zapped ?

Do 1400s have a CUDA switch ? Maybe that needs reset too .
