Yes, well I heard about that. Actually, someone (on another list) insisted that this incompatibility applies only to 8.6, not 8.5 ... but let's just say I'm bringing my question here because I haven't been satisfied with the answers I've gotten elsewhere ... As it happens I'm such a low end mac'er that I don't even own any 9.x installers. But I do own 8.1. Should I try a clean install of 8.1, and if that works, break down and invest in 9.1?
