I just erroneously posted --

<1. The problem might be on account of how much memory she has allocated 
to each application (in this case AOL and Netscape Communicator). IIRC if 
there's too much memory allocated to each app, when you try to run both, 
there can be problems. I'd suggest checking memory allocations to the 
apps and perhaps increasing them (via "Get Info" in the File Menu). She 
might have to experiment with this a bit.>

I should have said "decreasing," not increasing. And clarifying that if 
the memory allocations were never changed (since she can't go below the 
required amount to run the application), then she should go right to the 
RAM Disk suggestion and THEN, perhaps, increasing the memory on the 
applications.
