Yesterday marked a momentous occassion for me: For the first time ever, I bought
myself a completely up to date computer- a 14" iBook G4 (1.2 GHz G4, 768 megs of RAM).
I type this on my new iBook, which I have thouroughly enjoyed loading with my
software. I've barely scratched the surface on the features it has, and starting
tomorrow this little guy will handle the bulk of my computing needs.
This brings up the question of what I do now with my older macs. I have a powermac
7500 that i've upgraded thouroughly, and keep just for that purpose, so it's likely
not going anywhere. Then there is my 1400c/166(233 mHz G3, 64 mb RAM, OS 9.1), and my
G3 iMac running OS X 10.3.3at 400 mHz and 512 megs of RAM.
The 1400 is my first priority on decision of what to do. I've spent alot of time
upgrading it and playing with it, so I've kinda become attached to it, but just the
same, I'm not sure how much i will need to use it in the future, and I'd hate to see
it go to waste. On the other hand, I don't want to just give it away either,
considering it has a ton of goodies that go with it, and I've sunk a fair amount of
money into, which I'd like to recoup some of.
As such, i am open to suggestions,
Brian
