Trouble is, the webcam SW (EvoCam and Oculus) only operate if AppleTalk is turned off. Both file sharing and using AppleShare require AppleTalk on. See the following quote from Apple:

DigitalRadar will work with Appletalk on though. I think. I'm pretty sure that appletalk is on on the 7100 at the univ. and DRadar is fine there.
DRadar stores all its pictures in one folder; so you could copy them to your home machine, then delete them from the 3400, through ARA. Make sure that you are not "hiding" the images in the DRadar prefs though (one pref is to make them invisible).
Tried that out with your new working ARA server? (that's cool that works, I'll use that in future!)
