So, someone sent me a resume in Word 5 Mac format.
To my surprise, it would not open in Office X. Office X had convert options for many Excel formats, one or two Asian/international Word formats, and a couple others- and that was it. No success with either a .rtf (that they sent next) or a Word 98 file. I didn't try the .rtf in TextEdit as usually MSoft's RTF format is different enough from standard, I don't bother.
I had to open the thing on my 1400/9.1 with Office98 when I got home (which did it perfectly).
Are there other convertors lurking somewhere, to install? I looked on the Office X CD but don't see any.
I'm ready to put Office98 on X and only run Office under Classic; between this, and the stupid word doc/ email attachment bug that we've talked here about a few months ago.
