Yes, 2.1.3. The key thi ng is to liberate the serial
port. This means you cannot use the internal modem.
The OS SW can't differentiate. I used a PC Card modem
with Timbuktu; I had to download the Win driver, open
the exe on a PC, copy the INF files to a PC exchange
floppy and then copy to the Modem Descriptions File so
that Timbuktu would see the modem.
