I just got a new to me 3400c at a flea market. It had the HD drive stripped out. I did get a drive housing but the HD drive cable is missing and it's missing a number of screws. Other than that it all seems okay. It did have a 32Mb RAM card so that helps. It came with only a floppy but I swapped in a CD drive from a G3 Kanga. I put a 128Mb CF card and installed OS 8.6 on it. I installed a wireless card and drivers and that works. The battery was flat but fortunately I have others. So know I have a moderately potent laptop with wireless and a tiny drive.
Does anyone have a good source for either the HD cable or screws. I found some sources from a web search but I'd just as soon not have to pick one at random. I already checked Wegener, PB Guy and pbparts. I'm pretty sure I can find the metric screws locally if I have to but I'd just as soon get the right ones.
