[Cyberdog] is also much more stable than netscape and IE.

Cyberdog _itself_ may be stable, but OpenDoc is not. And Cyberdog IS OpenDoc (and pretty much the only successful OpenDoc-based part/application ever to have been released). You have to have OpenDoc installed and running in order to run Cyberdog. OpenDoc will eventually crash, no ifs, ands, or buts. And since OpenDoc is a system extension, it's got its fingers all over your Mac OS when it's running. So when OpenDoc crashes, your Mac needs to be restarted. OpenDoc has some serious issues that never got fixed once Apple and IBM dropped that particular documented oriented model...

NS 4 has memory leaks as well. Run it for long enough, especially with complex pages, and it starts to gobble memory. Eventually, it will "unexpectedly quit."

IE doesn't usually unexpectedly quit, but it will at some point stop loading images, opening new windows, or displaying anything at all (all the while telling you that it's out of memory, thankyouverymuch). And if things get REALLY bad, it will just unload itself, entirely skipping the ever-so-helpful "The application XXXXX unexpectedly quit" (No kidding, really?!) message from the Mac OS. But the culprit there isn't IE, it's actually the Flash plugin. Remove Flash (and remove half the websites you use), and IE becomes rock steady. QT4+ can play some Flash animations, but not all of them.

Peace,
Drew
