Have you tried the Filter Manager of iCab Cliff? I messed with it myself to start with and wasn't doing it right so gave up on it. Then someone posted on this list about the iCab list on Yahoo Groups. I joined it as well because gee 200 mails a day between spam and the lists I already belong to wasn't quite enough ;-D. But they have a download section where people put some filters. I downloaded one of the Yahoo filters that blocks most of the ads but all in all makes using Yahoo Mail a much nicer experience. By breaking that filter apart I figured out how to make my own. Now I keep the Yahoo filter on and I have another filter that mimics IE for identity and Java. So when I find a site that doesn't work with iCab... ie: Most banks and other bills I need to pay online & Yahoo chat rooms... it just seemlessly changes itself and works just fine. Just have to add the URL to the filter the first time you get there and reload and tada... never have a problem again and don't have to switch browsers. I keep a copy of IE and a copy of wamcom 1.3.1 just in case but I'd say with a properly set up filter I use iCab for 99 percent of my browsing with no problems. Including using e-bay and paypal which some people seem to have issues with. I'm even writing this using the Send E-mail part of iCab. The only thing about Yahoo Mail that doesn't work with iCab is the Move Button in case I want to move something to one of my saved mail folders but generally I end up checking mail on my iMac once in a while and use Safari there and do my housecleaning then. iCab is the best option I've found for a 3400. I have the web cache going to a CF card in a PCMCIA adapter so I can browse with the disk spun down so it makes the battery last longer as well. -- Matt aka HamletUSMC http://www.geocities.com/hamletusmc/ PowerBook 3400, Bondi iMac, Blueberry iMac -- PowerBooks is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
