Since the WallStreet is a G-Book, you should really post your questions to that List.
1. Best place to download users and service manuals?
Never thought of that Fabian. Thanks.
I don't know about the best place, but a logical place for the User Guide would be the Apple Support website.
Of course. I'll look there.
2. Best replacement drive?
By best, do you mean the largest, the fastest, or the cheapest?
Some balance between largest and fastest with emphasis on fastest.
For Keyboard Shortcuts under OS 8.5, 8.6, and 9.x: <http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=58068>
4. Assuming the HD is the only problem, what is such a PB> worth approx?
You should really check "completed items" on eBay for yourself. When live units in excellent conditions go for about $200, I would suggest that your dead one of unknown ailment or specification is worth less than $100.
As always, very good information and leads. Thank you Fabian.
