I posted detailed instructions for 100-series Powerbook battery rebuilding on several occasions. These I'm told, are archived on The Pickles site, and Grijan's FTP server as well. I found a clip from these posts at < mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg09926.html >

If you have time, you could troll the archives for the original posts (from 2001 - 2003). Meanwhile I'll go see if I can find the complete set ( packaged in .sit format ), which I think I have archived.

If there is interest in this subject ( the same techniques apply to any rechargeable battery packs ), I'll be happy to re-post this guide wherever anyone is generous enough to host it. Anyone with a website/FTP/server who can post this small file?

Hi,
Does anyone know of a web-site or archive that has information on
re-building the battery pack for a PowerBook 170? I understand that they
are standard-sized NiCad's inside, and I'd like to give it a try.
