It's true, I can now get to the browser interface with IE 5 in 9.1 (was popping with Outlook Express - yuck) on a 3400c.
And if you want to bypass the basic HTML version with a non "approved" browser, use https://gmail.google.com/gmail?nocheckbrowser (Like Opera on windoze).
