Something that's worked for me in the past with really dead batts. Launch IBR with the battery bay empty. When prompted insert the batt. It should then go into "Extended Charging" mode. May take 15 min. or so, and several tries, but usually works. Rick
I have a PowerBook 520 and I am having trouble with my batteries. Up until yesterday at least one of them worked, but now the one that worked before won't charge. The battery is recognized but stays empty. I'm pretty sure this is just another problem with the stupid EMM, but I tried both EMMpathy and Apple's Intelligent Battery Recondition. The second battery just acts like a paper weight.
