Not necessarily, as the answer actually has two parts: 1) Will the Mac
see the CD-RW and 2) Can you actually use it to write to disks?

Since the drive is USB 2.0, we can assume that it is a standard USB mass
storage device. As a result, MacOS 8.6 and later should recognize the
attached drive.

The answer to the second question depends on what drive mechanism/model
is actually being used. It may be directly supported or may require
patched/custom drive profiles (i.e. PatchBurn under OS X).
