This powerbook list seems fine as it is.

I agree! Let's not split up too much. If someone wants to chat, they can always continue off-list; also, people that have a problem are often less technical than those who know (how to get at) the solution, so it's best to keep everyone together, I feel.

And I feel the same about the cut-off point (which models fit in here
and which don't): If someone posts a question about a border case, the
answers will indicate that, and tell where he/she may be better off.

It's good to have rules, it's great not to be a slave to them.
